The ST-246 Saturated Diving Support Vessel is a highly advanced marine engineering auxiliary vessel designed for offshore operations. Once completed, it will rank among the top 10 saturated support vessels in the world in terms of operational capabilities.
The conceptual design and part of the basic design for the vessel were provided by SKIPSTEKNISK, a Norwegian design company. The basic design and detailed engineering will be carried out by Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design Co., Ltd., with CSSC Huangpu Wenchong overseeing production design.

The ST-246 will be equipped with a DP3 dynamic positioning system, a 24-person twin-bell 300-meter deep water saturation diving system, and an air diving operating system along with other advanced underwater tools. The vessel is designed for operations at water depths of up to 3,000 meters.
For Jumeirah, a prominent offshore platform investor with strong expertise in drilling jack-up platforms, semi-submersible drilling platforms, and accommodation platforms, the signing of the contract for the ST-246 vessel is a significant milestone. Mr. Geng Yuejie, President of Jumeirah, highlighted that this project is of great importance for the company’s growth and will significantly strengthen its presence in the offshore industry.
